The Personal Learning Base, known as the Riverbank, is a facility at Brookside School for up to 20 children, who learn in a different way or who need extra support with their learning. Every child learning in the Riverbank has a Statement of Special Educational Needs, or an Education Health and Care Plan.
If you would like more information or you feel the Riverbank may meet the needs of your child, we would love you to come and visit and see for yourself what we have to offer. Please ring the school office on 0116 271 3680 to make an appointment with Mrs Sahota.
We are divided into three working groups called Rabbits, Dragonflies and Otters. Groups are deliberately kept small and are organised according to the age, ability and specific needs of each child. Each group is taught and supported by at least two adults.
