We hope you have had a wonderful break over the summer and are glad to welcome you all back to Brookside for the start of a busy and exciting year with Mr Panting and Miss Wells. As soon as it is finalised we will upload the topic overview for the year so you can see what is coming up. Remember to also check back regularly to catch a glimpse of the things we will be getting up to and to access any other top tips and resources for help us all to do our best in year 2!
This year the Wonderful Woodpeckers and Outstanding Owls and will be learning about exciting and interesting topics from a diverse curriculum including:
- Healthy Me
- The Great Fire of London
- British Animals
- Endangered and Extinct Animals
- Castles
In Year 2 we try to be the best we can be by following the Golden Rules of our school:

We believe that if we follow these rules we will be ready for the challenges we face in Year 2 and moving up into KS2.
